Danish author and historian in the United StatesBorn and raised in the windy region of Thy in Denmark, I now live on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean in sunny South Carolina, USA, where I write about identity, migration, history, love, and mystery - and about trying to cope with life’s big and small challenges. I write picture books, middle grade fiction, historical fiction, mystery, and women's fiction.
I have a background in journalism and international communication and recently added a master’s degree in public history to my resume. In 2018, I won the Danish short story competition Kær-Litt, and I’ve since written short stories for Danish magazines and Danish and American anthologies. My first picture book, "The Journey to New York – Then and Now", was published in 2024 by Gads Forlag in Denmark, and my second picture book is coming out in August, 2025. I'm currently working on a middle grade novel. Read more about my books and short stories. Read more about my interests and work as a historian. Follow me on Instagram or Facebook. |
